The Application " Puremedias" is now available on the Android platform and on Iphones since this morning (10/11/2011). Its free and provides the best of media news. There are four categories :
Home: provides with an overview on the articles published on the website
Most Popular: To go straight to the most important news.
Audiences: TO get every morning at 9:15 an analysis of the TV audiences the day before.
And finally, Reality Shows, to make sure people do not miss anything from the shows diffused.
Of course, from this application you can upload and share the articles you want on Twitter, Facebook or send them by e-mail. News will now be more easy to spread, more easy to be accessed and the way they are classified will help people go straight to the things they are interested in. People will be updated on media news 24/7 and they can even interact directly with other subscribers and invite others to read the content of the application. Why do you think an application could be considered as mass media?
RépondreSupprimerAn application is a specialized service distributed from a platform. It is accessible to anyone who has the means to get it ( financial or having an appropriate device). Applications are advertised and promoted for their usefulness, the target is a large audience of technology users so it can be considered as a mass media. If the application's use is to get the most recent news ( that are also going to be published on newspapers, magazines etc..) obviously it is mass media.
